CAP Foundation Global Pathology Development Grant  

The Global Pathology Development Grant by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Foundation is designed to enhance global health by supporting projects that develop, expand, and sustain pathology services in under-resourced areas worldwide. Eligibility Criteria  

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a global pathology or healthcare organization, preferably a 501(c)(3) in the U.S. or a charitable, non-profit organization outside the U.S.
  • Pathologists actively engaged in expanding pathology services in under-resourced areas globally.
  • CAP Fellow or CAP International Fellow membership is preferred but not mandatory

AMP IMPACT Award 2025  

The Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP) IMPACT Award is designed to support molecular professionals from low- and lower-middle-income countries by providing financial assistance to attend the 2025 AMP Annual Meeting & Expo. This initiative aims to foster global collaboration and knowledge exchange in the field of molecular diagnostics.

Funding and Benefits  

  • Award Amount: Up to $3,000 in travel reimbursement
  • Additional Benefit: Complimentary registration for the 2025 AMP Annual Meeting & Expo

Recipients are expected to attend the entire meeting and participate in all relevant events.

Application Timeline  

  • Application Opens: April 1, 2025
  • Application Deadline: June 30, 2025

Applicants are encouraged to prepare and submit their applications well in advance of the deadline to ensure consideration.

Eligibility Criteria  

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be an AMP regular, technologist, or early-career member residing and working in a lower-middle or low-income country as defined by the World Bank Country Classification.
  • Submit an abstract to be presented at the 2025 AMP Annual Meeting & Expo.
  • Lack institutional funding for travel and/or registration to the meeting.
  • Secure any necessary travel visas and provide documentation for permission to attend the meeting.
  • Submit a brief, 250-word report to AMP within a month after the meeting, summarizing their experiences and learnings. Office of Foreign Assets Control's sanctioned list are not eligible.

  • Statement of interest detailing:
  • Commitment, experience, and interest in molecular diagnostics.
  • Expected gains from attending the 2025 AMP Annual Meeting & Expo.
  • Local activities with laboratory associations (if any).
  • Plans to share experiences with local and national colleagues.
  • A copy of the meeting abstract in MS Word or PDF format.
  • Two letters of support from colleagues or supervisors in laboratory medicine, healthcare administration, or other official capacities (letters from active AMP members are strongly recommended).
